tamara, i have read all of your books except the sorority collection. i have
enjoyed every one. i think my favorite is "bad things". i love the way you
develop your characters so the reader has no choice but to get involved with
them. also, the way you describe scenes it's just like the reader is there
watching it. i was wondering if you could send me an autographed picture or
letter so i could keep it with your books. thanks alot for the entertainment
you've brought me. have a great day.

Thanks, Joe! While I don't have time to take care of individual snail mail
requests myself, try ordering the new one, Thunder Road, from Dark Delicacies
(email darkdel@darkdel.com. Tell them I said that I'd give you some signed
bookplates for your other books -- they'll make sure to remind me and when they
send you Thunder Road (the book is only $5.99, plus shipping) they'll tuck the
bookplates in for you too. I'm sorry I can't do the SASE thing and just send you
some, but I need about 72 more hours in a day to manage that!

Miss Thorne. I have recently finished reading you book Candle Bay. Where you
left off put me in too much supense and I was wondering if you going to write a
sequel to it because I would love to see what happens the the gang especially
Stephen and Amanda. Also Please email me I have a really good idea for it if you
decide to write a sequel. Thank you so much Dawnie
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
Yes, I have a Candle Bay sequel planned, beginning to end;-). That's why the
first book left you hanging -- as I drew to the end, I knew I had to have a
cliffhanger so I could do a sequel. BUT -- never tell an author your ideas. If
you tell me and I read it, I won't use it, even if I had the same idea already,
since it's no longer mine. When someone has book ideas, I usually suggest maybe
they should try their hand at writing. You just need to create your own
characters and world to do so -- but that's fun! Thanks -- glad you enjoyed!

I was wondering if you were going to the world horror con this year. Looking
forword to your new book ; )
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
I'm doing Necon this year. . . I don't have any other con plans for 2004. Where
is WHC? When is it? I'm off in my own little world, as usual;-)

yourself.

Hi i want to read the most scariest wierdest ghost book ever but i cant find any
at that level for me, could you recomend one of your books and give me a price?
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
Well, you can use Amazon.uk to get my books. Haunted's full of ghosts. It may
not be available right now (comes out again in September). The Forgotten is full
of ghosts and it spooked me when I wrote it, which is usually a good sign. Most
of my books are full of ghosts. I don't know the price, but they're paperback,
always a good sign. You can also order them signed from Dark Delicacies -- I'll
be there Aug 7. They ship everywhere. Email darkdel@darkdel.com. I'm sure the
postage would be far more expensive than the books;-P (BTW, anyone can order
from any of the amazon sites. I do that when the American amazon doesn't have
what I want. )

well your first 2 books in the sorority were intriguing, but i just wish there
was more!! the whole time i kinda felt like i was reading a summary!!! i want
soo much more. i am currently looking for your third book now!
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
Hi Sara, Samantha shouldn't be hard to find. That's the third book. If it's not
in a local bookstore, you can ask them to order it for you.

I have read all your books but Moonfall, Bad Things and ThunderRoad. I am
beginning Moonfall tonight. I really enjoy your books. I have seen several
things in my time. Mostly in my childhood and young adulthood. My family even
had a medalion blessed for me because some of the elements were not peaceful.
Now I mainly see outlines. Your books have opened my mind to speak more freely
about things and to not feel embarrassed. I hope to meet you some day. Maybe you
can come to Las Vegas!!!
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
Lots of people see lots of things. Sometimes they're truly unexplainable. Don't
you just love that? My ghost hunting activities (usually research for novels)
are taking a more serious turn. See the events page at http//grimmacres.com for
a full description of upcoming paranormal radio shows. I tend to avoid Las Vegas
since cigarette smoke about kills me, but if you have a specialty bookstore that
doesn't allow indoor smoking, feel free to put them in touch with me!

I came across your book "Haunted" & bought it. I really loved that book. So I
bought "Moon Fall" & decided to collect all your books. You're one of my
favorite authors. I always keep my eye out for your next upcoming book & can't
wait to read it. I enjoyed all of your books.

5/26/2004 Ashi
wow. When I was just searching randomly at this Music/Book shop in the nearest
city here, I found "The Forgotten". I never got around to reading it and about a
week ago, I forced myself to read it and I was just amazed. I love the book and
how its written, especially how all the characters are put together in the weird
ghostly incidents. I still think that is an amazing book and I am going to get
around to reading the others that are out!
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
Thanks Ashi. Glad you liked it!

Hi there. I walked into the library one day to find a book that i wanted was not
there. So i was standing there and decided to pick a random book. It was Thunder
Road. Ohh so good. However when i returned it i didn't take note of the name.
The last couple of days i remembered about it and spend hours searching. Finally
found you. Must go read any other books the library has in New Zealand. I only
presume they will have other books here!
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
Thunder Road is about to be re-released this July. You must have found an old
copy, the last book I did under the pen name Chris Curry. Glad you enjoyed! If
you can't find other Thorne books in the library, Amazon.au should have them.
Soon, there will be a special page up on my other website, http://grimmacres.com.
There you'll find links to places to get my books outside of North America. So
glad you enjoyed. Thanks for writing!

I was browsing at the library and the first book in the Trilogy caught my eye.

library has. I am going to request they buy all of yopur other books!!! I love
your Sorority trilogy.
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
Tee hee -- they only have my diritiest books! Thanks for requesting the others.
I'm hearing my books are getting into lots more libraries these days!

Hi Tamara, You probably get asked this a lot, but is 'Candle Bay' going to be
re-issued? My copy is falling to pieces, and a couple of my friends want copies,
but its getting expensive to buy it used (£50 on Amazon marketplace last time I
checked).
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
I'm sure it will be reissued. Bad Things is also out of stock. So's Haunted, but
it's already scheduled for reissue in a few months. You know, I've bought things
from Amazon UK and Amazon CA even though I'm in the states. Check CA and
Amazon.com (US name) -- I doubt it's anywhere near so expensive for a used copy
here. Also, you might try some other on-line stores. Quite a few specialize in
used horror. Dark Delicaies (my local specialty store may have it or can
certainly watch for it). Email them at darkdel@darkdel.com and ask them. They
won't hike up prices like some of those dealers do! And yes, eventually, there
will be a sequel to Candle Bay! Subscribe to the newsletter here (it's free) for
current info. You'll also find the latest one posted in html on my other
website, www.grimmacres.com.

Tamara, I have read almost all of your books except for the forgotten and candle
bay. I love your books! I can't put them down - I think about them all day I
become obsessed until I am done reading them. Then I crack open the next book of
yours and it starts all over. You are truly talented and your stories are
gripping. Thanks for giving me so much enjoyment.
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
Well, we have something in common. I'm obsessed with each book while I'm writing
it. :-) Thanks! Notes like this help keep me going on those nights when I know
there's no chance of sleep -- the characters are too busy making me write!

I have just had the pleasure of reading "Candle Bay". I love how you poke fun at
all of the characters at any given time-showing us what they would be thinking
in that particular time and situation.I enjoyed it VERY much . Your book has had
such and impact on me that you have brought me over from romance novels to
horror stories. Thank you. Is there sequel to candle bay?? Keep up the great
work!!! Sincerely, Sheri
Response posted: 1/1/2001 by Tamara
Thanks, Sheri. Yes, eventually there will be a sequel to Candle Bay. Watch the
websites (this one and grimmacres.com) or subscribe to Drawn Quarterly for
updates!
